What does Contracting or Interim worker mean?
Working as a consultant or temporary worker for a fixed period of time usually 3 months or more and less than a year. Often contracts are renewed so that people work up to 2 years as an Interim. People usually work via a corporate vehicle (rather than being the clients employee) which is either an umbrella company, a consultancy,or their own Limited company known as a personal service company ( PSC ). BITE can advise you of your different options or refer you to a qualified accountant specialising in IT contractors and Interim workers.
